By now I’m sure you’ve heard and seen enough  from this kid to be familiar with him. Mario “SkyBlew” Farrow, a talented young emcee from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and he’s here to paint the sky blew! His style is lyrical, a young Kanye West or Lupe Fiasco in the making. I recently had the pleasure of choppin it up with him, and we got to discuss his  deal with Interscope, he revealed a few secerets about his upcoming mixtape, and some other stuff you’re going to have to read about to find out! J. Cole won’t be the only repping for us, look out for SkyBlew!!!!

So SkyBlew, tell us what you been up to!
Just been sitting back working & painting the sky..;)

Blue right (laughs)?
Actually Blew.

(laughs) Okay well lets get down to the bussiness, let’s start with the topic that probably has most of your fans talking; you recently gave out news that you signed to Interscope, but that’s been put on hold, is that right?
Actually yes thats on hold till I go back to Cali in a few weeks….its Interscope and Sony music been hitting me up

What’s going on with them? Are you weighing out your options, or is interscope a definite?
[I'm] weighting out my options. Interscope is kinda who I want though.  I have been working with a producer named Escobar whos on Shady Aftermath and I’m just like seeing where that goes but they are like I’m very talented and everything…but I also wanna go to Interscope cause some good artists on there like Wale.

Def feel you on that. How did you come into the deal with interscope?
Well my manager had a friend who knew Dr. Dre and they sent him the demo and it got to Escobar and he said come down to LA (laughs).

Speaking of LA… you’ve been coming & going from there lately; can you talk about your experience there? What exactly is it you go there for and do?
I go there to hook up and have sessions with the main producer escobar…he gives me beats and stuff and I come back and lay them down…this will be my second time going…

I know you don’t fly accross the country just to get some beats!
(laughs) Well we talk and they give me advice and take me out places…:)

What is like being in that type of enviornment; really being able to be in the mix of everything (industry wise)?
It’s a good feeling you just gotta blend in, like you gotta not be acting all nervous and stuff when you around celebrities but its the feeling of like,Im almost there…

Once you “get there,” what’s the very first thing you’re going to do?
Go To Disney World!!! (laughs) Nah Im playing, Ima Pay God His Tithes then give my family something, then go and work like I’ve never worked before…Might shed a few tears..(laughs)

We’ll have to throw you a party to celebrate (laughs)!
Yes Yes!!! That Too (laughs).

With everything kind of being on hold right now, would you say you’re happy with the pace of things?
Yes im very happy..I always knew things would take time..see since things on hold, that gives me time to get my best stuff together/rock some shows…feel me??Okaaay!!!

Yeah, I feel you! Got any shows or tours coming up?
Yeah got a big show in Raleigh with DJ Tommy L on December 31st…and yeah we working on a mini tour.

You got an LP, “Write Blew On THe Clouds” coming out soon…
yes yes..December 23rd This IS my BEST WORK.

I’m mos def looking forward to that, and by the feedback I’ve been getting on the site, I know everyone else is too! Fans have def been showing love on the posts.
Oh they have?? Thats Awesome…yeah I got a mad buzz now..Its about time (laughs).

Well, it’s well deserved! Can you talk about the meaning behind the name of the LP, as well as some of the concepts behind the tracks themselves?
Well the name Write Blew On The Clouds basically stands for making a name for myself and standing out,being different….I got some great concepts…I’ll give you three songs concepts, can’t give anymore cause its a surpirse (laughs)..Letter To The World Ft.J.Skillz&Skate Johnny…The concept is basically writing to the world,like asking the question why does certain things happen and what do I plan to do for the world ina music form…
Has a beautiful melody for the chorus..beautiful singer. Next song is called SkyBlew Come Home (thats actually the intro) produced.by Mars; that’s bascially saying that people wasn’t feeling me before but now that I have showed them what I can do they want more, and for a minute I wanted to quit but they told me not too so I came back home to Hip Hop. April Showers Ft.Faith Langley, that one is talking about april showers is a metaphor for sadness but you know what they say, flowers come in May so this song is just like a help tool for if you going through something you gotta keep ya head up and look for the sunshine…it always get better!

Sounding good! Can you talk more about the production?
Got some production for Mars (an ill emcee/producer from North Carolina), got Johnny Juliano, Skate&Johnny, Kdotmills, Just Wright, The Cratez, Escobar(Shady Aftermath).

Production looks good! I know for a lot of past songs you did, you always real hip-hop soulful type beats.
Yes, I kinda expanded with the beats also…..you will see..;)

Yes we will (laughs)! Well it seems like we covered pretty much everything, but is there anything you’d like to add in?
